NORTH VANCOUVER

Located across from Vancouver via either the Lions Gate Bridge or Iron Workers’ Memorial Bridge, North Vancouver is actually made up of two separate municipalities: the City of North Vancouver (population 52,000) and the District of North Vancouver (population 115,000).

There are few cities anywhere, in fact, with as many world-class outdoor recreational venues and as much natural beauty as North Vancouver. Based at the foot of the North Shore mountains, the area is home to ski hills and some of the most spectacular (and extreme) mountain biking and hiking trails on the planet.

The mountain backdrop is also home to the regions oldest attraction, the Capilano Suspension Bridge navigating high above the Capilano canyon. Grouse Mountain's Skyride will whisk you 1,200 metres (3,960 feet) up the mountain providing stunning views and an opportunity to see Grizzly bears in their refuge. You might even be tempted to hike the "Grouse Grind," a strenuous 2.9 kilometre (1.8 mile) trail with an elevation gain of 853 metres (2,800 feet).

In North Vancouver you'll also find some of the most picturesque parks, including Deep Cove Park and Mount Seymour Provincial Park offering activities ranging from sea kayaking, to hiking to downhill skiing. Lynn Canyon Park's 250 hectares (615 acres) of coastal rainforest includes a popular ecology centre and a host of easily accessible trails.

TThe community's active arts and cultural life is evident in a number of galleries, while amateur theatre groups perform regularly in local theatres.

North Vancouver’s spectacular mountain and ocean location for those looking to settle down in one of Canada's most sought after locations. Enjoy the wonderful communities that make up West Vancouver including Edgemont, Upper Delbrook, Grouse Woods, Canyon Heights, Forest Hills, Capilano Highlands, Pemberton Heights, Hamilton, Norgate, Upper Lonsdale, Central Lonsdale, Lower Lonsdale, Braemar, Princess Park, Tempe, Grand Boulevard, Queensbury, Calverhall, Lynn Valley, Westlynn, Lynmour, Seymour, Blueridge, Northlands, Windsor Park, Roche Point, Dollarton, Indian River, and Deep Cove.
